WeĀ are excitedĀ to announceĀ theĀ developmentĀ ofĀ a comprehensiveĀ methodologyĀ to assessĀ ecologicalĀ footprintĀ indicatorsĀ forĀ 12 statisticalĀ regions, explicitlyĀ focusingĀ on theĀ energyĀ andĀ transport sectors. TheĀ ecologicalĀ footprintĀ is one ofĀ theĀ KPIsĀ in theĀ DevelopmentĀ StrategyĀ ofĀ SloveniaĀ 2030, theĀ ResolutionĀ on theĀ NationalĀ EnvironmentalĀ ProtectionĀ Program 2030.


TheĀ projectĀ wasĀ supportedĀ byĀ theĀ SlovenianĀ EnvironmentĀ AgencyĀ (ARSO).Ā

  • ComprehensiveĀ Database: A detailedĀ databaseĀ andĀ methodologyĀ willĀ be createdĀ to calculateĀ theĀ carbonĀ footprintĀ at theĀ municipalĀ andĀ regionalĀ levels.Ā 

  • Bottom-Up Approach: UtilizationĀ ofĀ a bottom-up approachĀ to accuratelyĀ analyseĀ emissionsĀ fromĀ energyĀ useĀ andĀ transportation.Ā 

  • StrategicĀ PlanningĀ Support: AimingĀ to enhanceĀ strategicĀ planningĀ effortsĀ andĀ contributeĀ to Slovenia'sĀ goalĀ ofĀ reducingĀ itsĀ ecologicalĀ footprintĀ byĀ 20% byĀ 2030.Ā
