We are excited to announce that Envirodual d.o.o. has joined the international project ENABLE DHC, launched in September 2024, as a consortium partner. Together with leading institutions across Europe, we are contributing to shaping the future of sustainable district heating and cooling (DHC) networks.

šŸ“‘Ā Project Overview:Ā

ENABLE DHC aims at fostering the switch of district heating and cooling (DHC) networks towards efficient DHC as defined in the Energy Efficiency Directive, by developing 9 case studies of investment plans in 7 countries (Austria, Croatia, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Slovenia, Ukraine) with very different framework conditions.Ā The plans will be developed in close cooperation with the DHC utilities with a focus, as distinguishing features, on digitalization, assessment of investment risks and sector coupling.

šŸ’” Objectives:Ā

Important goal of the project is to identify flexible and efficient technological solutions of district heating systems, primarily based on renewable energy sources and waste heat utilization. As part of the project, a feasibility study of the selected technological solution will be carried out. Several national workshops, online seminars, and a final event will be held, also addressed to DHC stakeholders outside the project boundaries. Furthermore, the project outcomes will be used to support an additional 18 ā€œfollowerā€ district heating case studies. A strong focus will be given to DHC sector policies and governance, leading to the development of 7 policy roadmap for the countries involved of ENABLE DHC, supported by public authorities, and of a 'Blueprint for action'. Stakeholders will also be directly involved through 9 Working Groups linked to the case studies.
