We participated in the BESPIN Trialogue for Europe and Central Asia, an international event bringing together more than 80 policymakers, scientists, practitioners, and local knowledge holders from 12 countries to exchange knowledge and strengthen biodiversity and ecosystem services governance across the region. 🌱

The event focused on connecting biodiversity conservation and climate action, highlighting the importance of integrated approaches to building climate resilience and protecting healthy ecosystems.

📊 During the Trialogue, participants discussed national pathways for bridging knowledge and action, exchanged experiences and good practices, and explored opportunities for stronger regional cooperation.

For Envirodual, the event was particularly valuable as our colleagues Nataša Beltran and Lara Klemenčič represented the company at the Trialogue. Nataša Beltran also participated as a panellist in the session "Bridging Knowledge and Action for National Pathways", sharing experiences from Slovenia and contributing to discussions on translating knowledge into practical action.

Key topics included:

▪️ Biodiversity and climate change integration

▪️ Ecosystem services governance

▪️ National action pathways

▪️ Knowledge exchange and regional collaboration

Although the event has concluded, collaboration among partners continues through the further development of national action pathways, knowledge sharing, and preparation of the Trialogue Action Document.

🤝 We would like to thank Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services Network (BES-Net), the RESPIN project, and all organisers for hosting this valuable event. We also thank the North Macedonian hosts and all project partners and national delegations for the inspiring discussions, excellent organisation, and fruitful exchange of experiences.

We look forward to continuing this important collaboration.
