ABOUT THE JOB
At Envirodual, we are seeking a professional passionate about sustainable spatial development, climate-resilient urban planning, GIS technologies, green infrastructure, vegetation systems, urban heat island mitigation, and blue-green infrastructure solutions.
We are looking for someone who can connect spatial planning, environmental data, analytics, and strategic thinking to develop high-quality studies, standards, and practical solutions for municipalities, cities, and other clients.
This is a key role in the development of our services in spatial planning, climate adaptation, and green standards, directly shaping future projects and urban communities across Slovenia.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare expert studies and technical documentation for spatial planning, green systems, and climate resilience projects.
Analyze spatial environments, microclimates, urban heat islands, shading conditions, and vegetation systems.
Develop green and blue-green infrastructure standards and guidelines for municipal spatial plans, urban development plans, and project documentation.
Plan urban cooling networks, tree-lined corridors, public open spaces, and green corridors.
Design solutions for stormwater retention, infiltration, and reuse in urban environments.
Perform GIS analyses, mapping, spatial data processing, and visualization.
Prepare reports, studies, strategies, and presentations for municipalities and other clients.
Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams working across energy, environment, mobility, and digitalization projects.
Engage stakeholders and present project outcomes to professional and public audiences.
WHAT WE EXPECT
Degree in Geography, Spatial Planning, Landscape Architecture, Forestry, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
Strong understanding of spatial planning, climate adaptation, and nature-based solutions.
Proven experience with GIS tools (ArcGIS and/or QGIS) – required.
Knowledge of blue-green infrastructure, green systems, and microclimate analysis.
Advantage: experience with LiDAR datasets, shading analysis, or urban heat island modelling.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent analytical, reporting, and written communication skills.
Strong motivation for sustainable urban development and climate resilience.
